Frequently Asked Questions
What will my visits be like?
During your first visit, once we have introduced ourselves, we’ll ask you to fill out a new patient form, which will help us to build your dental history and profile. You can shorten the process by printing the form and filling it out before your visit. We will record your health history to make sure we understand any underlying health issues you might have, and we will probably take some radiographs (x-rays) if we do not have a current set that has been sent from your previous dentist.
We will conduct a gentle and thorough assessment of your teeth, soft
tissues, alignment, bite, jaw joint and an oral cancer screening. If
we determine that there is no disease or abnormalities present, you will
receive a thorough, gentle cleaning with one of our hygienists. The
complete first visit is about 60 minutes.
Most standard visits for current patients are one hour or slightly less, depending on the procedures you need. We know that people are busy, so we are respectful of your time and provide services in a timely, yet thorough manner for your convenience. Usually, you will schedule your following hygiene appointment before you leave. We will contact you either by email or mail and give you a courtesy reminder call beforehand.
